Growing up, music was important to me. I have songs that go with every moment in time in my life. A vast majority of the music I listen to comes from my moms era. I was lucky to have a mom who was young so that her music is still cool and still played on the radio here in town on our local chanell KOZZ. I believe it's called classic rock. One of the coolest parts of this though, is since she actually listened to the albums she knew all of the cool hidden songs or the songs on the B sides. A few of my favorites growing up were:
Rolling Stones- Beast of Burden
Tom Petty- Here comes my girl
Dier Straights- So far away from me
Van Morrison- Stoned me
and presenting one of my all time most favorite secret songs ever

I can't even tell you how many concerts you had been to be for you were born. I think you knew while you was inside me if I was happy or sad by the music I was listening too. You would listen to ACDC and your friends would say to you Shannon how can you like that song it was so be for your time. You would tell them ya but my mom listen to ACDC every day when I was swimming around in her.

There are so many! But what about "Last Kiss" - I was out on a date in my daddy's car, I hadn't driven very far, when there in the road, straight ahead, a car was stalled the engine was dead... Ha - your Mom might remember that one.
i am going to have to go with roy orbison. my dad loved him and we spent many summers listening to it. my dad always listented to the K-EARTH 101 (la's oldies station) exclusively and so we are probably well rounded.
All of the Jefferson Starship songs make me ridiculously happy. The one I remember most is the one that was played the most and that is "We Built This City". I love that this song is on my SINGSTAR game so I can karaoke to it. It brings a smile to my face every time.
