Like how in the hell am I going to shave my whooha for my C-section tomorrow? Got any bright ideas on how to bic something you can't see anymore and can barely reach? If I don't do it mean evil nurse will come in with nothing but a razor and have her way with me, no water or shaving cream. It hurts to think about it!
Also I have figure out how to do this between coughs, because coughing while wielding a sharp object near my girl parts....well that's just scary.

I suppose asking your hubby for help is not an option and neither is building an extension...that alone sounds unsafe...chemicals? I don't think so..then we are back to square one.
I don't really know...that quite the predicament I so feel for you.
Even tho I didn't have a c-section, and I wanted to be all cleaned up for the 20 people that were going to be looking down there every 5 minutes. This might be a little TMI, but honestly Bernard handled the job for me. Just start with the legs.
I had the hubby do it for me the night before. He got a kick out of it and the nurses said he did a much better job than they would have. (They also joked that it was probably that kind of thing that got us in trouble in the first place!)
Good luck tomorrow!!
Sounds like Rob's the man for the job!
Don't have an answer for you, sorry. But, did want to say, good luck! Sorry for all the brouhaha you had to deal with right before going to the hospital. I hope everything goes smoothly and quickly tomorrow, and I can't wait to see photos of Codi.
You don't have to shave do you? Really? How did I escape that with both of my c-sections?
Good luck with that one girl! ;-)
I can't wait to read the blog on Rob shaving your girlie parts!!! hahaha!
Are you sure you have to shave? I didn't have my girly parts shaved when I had my c-section with Porgie. I would call the hospital and ask first - they might have changed their procedures.
Ok since Rob isn't willing to help on this matter, here is my next suggestion. Put a mirror on the ground by your feet. That might help you rediscover body parts you thought no longer existed and navigate thru the forest.
OMG!!!! Do you seriously have just one more day!?!?!?! I'm so excited for you. Good Luck!!!!!!
Ok, why has no-one mentioned having a professional do the job? Go pay someone to wax things down there for you! You can just lay back and relax...well maybe not relax but at least you don't have to subject Rob to having to do it.
And by the way I am freaking out that everybody is having their baby this week!
Shannon! Congratulations on Codi's arrival soon! I can't wait for pictures. I'm with Ginger on the waxing. It may not be something you want to do while sick and pregnant but it last longer and then you won't have to deal with the itchy stubble when you want to enjoy Codi. Good luck!
I do what Lisa said. I just put a mirror on the ground right by my feet so I can see :P It's still a pain in the ass but it works and it's better than doing it without seeing anything at all and acidentally cutting yourself (ouch...)
Good to know that they shave at St.M's before a c-section cause I definitely don't want a nurse to do it for me especially not without water and/or shaving cream...
Good luck with the shaving ;)
Gosh, I can't believe that Codi will be here tomorrow!!!!
mirror works.
tomorrow is the big day! yeah! i am soooo excited for you!
My nurse was super nice and used a ton of shaving cream...
Then the doctor came in and decided that the nurse hadn't been precise enough, grabbed the razor and went to town.
I wouldn't worry about it... go get a pedicure instead!
Wow. I had no idea there is shaving involved for a C section. I guess I figured they'd take care of any waywayd belly hair, but I didn't know that all your business had to be as well.
I have no good answers. The whole thing makes me giggle, which means I'll probably have to deal with that same issue tenfold when it's my turn. :) Can't wait to see pictures of your little man. So exciting!! Congrats, Mama! You have all of us behind you!
Yeah... That is why I got waxed a few weeks ago... although now it is growing back already. Dangit! I guess I need to make another appointment!
Or just have Rob do it. I asked Erick if he would be down to shave me and he was like, ALL ABOUT IT.
It's probably too late for this, but if you have the ambition, there is a beard trimmer called the Groomsman that you can set to the shortest setting and "mow the lawn". It won't remove the hair entirely, but you can't cut yourself doing it site unseen and I think it manicures things enough to be presentable for a c section. Good luck tomorrow!!
