I have low iron. I always have low iron during pregnancy. I know this because when I walk into my doctors office they have a tendency to say, "you look a little pale, maybe your low on iron. I translate this to mean, "you look like shit you pale fat ass, what the hell can you not put yourself together and throw some lip gloss on when you leave the house?"
Apparently my kids just suck the iron out of me. So the doctor has given me some new fangled iron pill. The directions were specific DO NOT TAKE WITH DAIRY!!!!!!!
So, that big piece of creamy cream cream pie I just ate.....ouch, I'm not feeling so good now. Dammit, why don't I listen? Really, why do I think I know better? I actually, really, for reals thought, ehh its pie, that can't really be dairy right???? Uh duh. Its a layer of banana CREAM followed by a layer of chocolate CREAM, topped with chocolate chips and whipped CREAM! I'm going to go right ahead and claim baby brains here!

Yeah don't want ER baby deliveries on TV. No Bueno. Seriously, cause we don't have enough on our minds to add "oh you have a breached hermi baby that is 10 weeks early with only one ear"
And why can't there be iron in chocolate? Seriously.
I think I say seriously too much.
Strange not dairy!! That not fun at all! I just dont understand why crap food isnt good for you and it sooooooooooooooooooo nice! Doctors are such spoil sports!
I can't take my prenatal vitamin during the day because it always makes me barf. So, I always take it about 2 minutes before bedtime. Maybe that would help?
It won't hurt you to take iron with dairy, but iron and dairy cancel each other out: calcium inhibits your body's ability to absorb iron, and vice versa, so you don't want them in your tum at the same time. -Awesome Pharmacy Expert
I was going to say what Swistle said. I hated those stupid iron pills. Thank God I only needed them the 1st time around.
They didn't constipate me like the dr. said, but had the opposite effect. Which was so not cool at work.....
Umm ok, so Iron blah blah blah.... dairy.... blah blah blah... PIE! I want some PIE!
Ok well every one already got to be smart before me and talk about the whole iron not being absorbed as well when taken with calcium thing, but did you know that you can enhance your iron absorption with vitamin c? Maybe chug a big glass OJ with all those iron pills and dairy treats and call it even?
