A conversation with my husband

Me: Was it weird watching them pull Brandon out during the C-section?

Husband: Nope

Me: Not even a little? Not even kind of gross?

Husband: NO.

Me: Because I mean I think I would have to stop eating cottage cheese after seeing him come out with all those weird cheese curdles on him, I mean, if I ate cottage cheese.

Husband: It wasn't like that. The placenta was gross but not Brandon.

Me: Hmmm because I would think that would be pretty nasty.

Husband: Honey, thats our son, that can't be nasty, nothing about him can be nasty.

Me: Really! Because what came out of his ass this morning was pretty nasty!

Husband: Sigh! You are so weird Shannon!

In another life (when I thought I wanted to be a doctor for like 3 months) I did an internship and I helped with a c-section and the little cheesy curdle things were kind of nasty..well maybe more weird than nasty but either way, not something I really want to see again...maybe it's different if it it your own kid...but still they are all wrinkly and kind of purpley-pink and covered in weird cottage cheesy looking things...

Ummmm not be too "nasty" but if I were the dude in the relationship I would rather watch that kind of a birth than watch all that goes on in the "danger zone" of a natural birth.....you know what I mean. There is the possibility of "clearing yourself" as the nurses call pooping and swollen junk and other stuff that you dont have when you get a CS.

I wanted my hubby to take a photo of them pulling my daughter out, I had a c-section too...and he couldn't do it! The nurse had to.
