Where did he learn that

The new thing my son does is sit on top of my cat and say IDDIUP IDDIUP (GIDDIUP GIDDIUP) while bouncing up and down???? I'm just wondering who taught him to say and do that?

How I know we hired the right girl to work in our office

I know we hired the right girl because I commented once that chocolate was the way to my heart very briefly. She wanted to do something special as a get well present for me. This is what I got!

And thats how I know we hired the right girl!

HI SWEET PEA

You just invited me to read your blog...its private..i cant read it if its private?

If I'm going down I'm taking you down with me

Since I'm on bedrest and bored out of my head and I have nothing fun and interesting going on in my life I might as well take my husband down with me.

A conversation with my husband and I at the store.

Rob: Babe, where do they keep the baby powder?

Me: Umm I dunno over sort of by the pads or the Q-tips

Rob: Shhhh I don't want people to know that its for me

Me: Did you find it

Rob: Umm yeah but what kind

Me: Well I usually get you the kind with cornstarch

Rob: (very loudly) WHAT DO YOU MEAN GET ME THAT KIND, THIS ISN'T FOR ME, THIS IS FOR OUR KID DUH

Me: Right so your worried that people at Walmart are going to know you powder your ass for work

Rob: OMG shhhh people can hear

Me: Ummmm yeah lets go get Tylenol

Rob: Cody does it too

Me: So why are you so shy and ummm how do you know Cody does that?

Rob: Cuz he told us at work

Me: So you guys are close enough you just drive around talking about powdering your asses?

Rob: Well, no, umm I mean everyone at work knows Cody has SWAMP BUTT

Me: Did you just say swamp butt? You guys actually call it swamp butt?

Rob: Not me, my butt just sweats, Cody says he has swamp butt but not me.

Me: Whatever maybe you should get some extra baby powder to take to work for your boyfriend!

The horizontal mom challange

Okay so as you all know I'm on bed rest for "a while". I have no idea how long but at least a week. Soooooooooo You have to expect that my lazy ass is going to be bored. AS IN MORE BORED THEN I ALREADY AM AND ITS ONLY BEEN TWO DAMN DAYS. So the challenge. This week you guys need to step up your posts, quality and quantity. I need to see posts every day so I always have something to read. They need to be funny and good and interesting, oh and gossip doesn't hurt either. I get bored easy...I've already checked my blogs about 13 times since 5:30 this morning. Okay 13 might be a lie, it was more like 25. Soooo please posts lots of goodies and post frequently....oh also pictures are good!

So far so good

On day two of at home bed rest. Bored out of my mind. The bleeding has slowed and darkened which I believe is a good sign. Just gotta keep thinking positive! Thank you all for your well wishes and thank you Jen and Lindsey for the yummy smelling flowers! My cat must have been happy that I was gone at the hospital because upon my return he promptly crapped all over the guest bed and took two of the largest pees I've ever seen. He couldn't just pee on a blanket, he had to pee on a blanket that was on top of a feather bed meaning now I have to take the feather bed to the laundry mat since those machines are big enough to handle it. I am covered in IV tape marks and have a pretty large hole in my hand from where the poorly inserted IV lived. I'm about to venture into the shower to shave so Rob will quit trying to braid my armpit hairs and tickle them when I'm not looking. Again thank you all for the well wishes. I'll keep you updated on our progress!

Short and sweet

I'm home. There is a baby inside of me still. I'm on bed rest for a few weeks. I'll update more tomorrow I'm tired right now!

Shannon Update #2

This is Jen (again)- here is another update from Shannon:

Doctors just came bye. They said that the bleeding has slowed and things look good. I will be on bed rest for a few weeks. However this clot has taken a lot of my platlettes and clotting ability. My platlette count keeps dropping. If that doesn't go up it is bad and they might have to take the baby. If it stabelizes then the baby and I will be fine in a few weeks. So I guess more waiting and seeing --wilddreemer

Where Shannon has been the last 36 hours....

Hi Everybody- this is Jen (Lost in Translation) posting for Shannon. She wanted to update you guys and sent me the following to post for her:

Hi everyone first I want to say I'm writing from my cell phone so I am sorry for typos and spelling mistakes. At 4 am thursday morning I woke up and noticed I was bleeding. I went to the bathroom and right as I got there a large thing fell out of me. I put on some gloves and fished it out. Hubby and I headed to er. They said with that amount of bleeding it was safe to assume I had or was miscarrying the baby. They thought the thing that fell out might have been the baby. They sent it away to labs and sent me for an ultrasound. They informed me I would be told nothing until the radiologist read it and told them. While the lady was ultra sounding she turned the monitor toward me and said..I probably shouldn't show you this, but your baby is right there moving and there is the heart beat. I was soooo confused and started crying. Finally the er dr came in and told me that my placenta is tearing away from the wall and that is causing the bleeding which is also causing clots. She told me that I would be given an iv and sent up to labor and delivery to be monitored. It took them two tires in my hands to get the iv in and I was sent up. Once up there the doctor informed me that we have no choice but to wait and see if the clot comes out nicely and my placenta scars back in place OR if the clot tears the placenta the rest of the way off. If the second one happens they will preform surgery to take the baby and placenta so I don't bleed to death. The baby will die if that happens. For now I am on hospital bed rest and we are watching the blood to see if it slows or not. They said I could know more tonight or it could take weeks to know. So far the baby has been a trooper and is till there. I'm hanging out here in the hospital bed bored to death.
Yesterday my family brought my son by to see me and I cried because in just 15 hours he already seemed to grow so big. I hope I'm not here long I have a hard time not being with my little boy. My husband came by and stayed in bed until I fell asleep. Then I sent him home so he could get good sleep before work. I've been poked a total of 5 times now. They are running out of places to poke me. Okay well I'm going to go back to watching tv guide channel. Take care everyone.
